“ Unique Mexican cuisine within a chic-retro environment stemming off the Egyptian hotel. The prices were very reasonable with a wide variety of cocktails. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, catering to my modified requests while entertaining my company. ”
“ What an awesome restaurant. I loved this place! I had Chilte on my list for some time, I come to Phoenix for work 3-4 times a year and I often don't have time to really explore. When my boss asked me where we should go for my 12 person team dinner I was like hey let me shoot my shot. Chilte! He was like let's do it. We did a pre fixe, ordered some cocktails, great wine list as well. The menu was absolutely generous, we were stuffed when we got up to leave. Complex, spicy, experimental, interesting. It was like Mexico City rolled up into a mid century renovated motel dining room in Arizona – and it was so sick. It felt true to the Phoenix I want to experience, un-pretentious, inspired by the landscape, cool. Highlights for me were the Shrimp Aguachile and the mole dishes, excellent. Everything was balanced between spicy, fresh, toasty, bright, earthy. Chef brought us out some really wonderful mezcal shots. So thoughtful, they brought some delicious non alcoholic sips as well as they noticed a couple of people in our party weren't drinking. The service was amazing, we felt so taken care of. If I lived in the area this would be a regular spot for my boyfriend and I. Super cute date spot, birthday dinner with friends, happy hour catch up. So good. I know my group can be rowdy, we really appreciated the attention and conversation, this was one of the best team dinners we've had in the 3 years I've been working with these fools. So fun, we love Chilte! We'll have to try the full Tomahawk treatment next time. Thank you. ”
“ We had a great experience at Chilte. The entire menu looked so good that the server had to order for us. Food was great, service was excellent, and it was a fun and relaxed environment. Standouts for us were the tomahawk pork steak (I was literally eating the mole sauce with a spoon) and the pistachio crusted cheesecake baklava. We also had two different margaritas that were both excellent. ”
“ The food was an amazing experience. Favorites were the RELLENO, Maduros Y Frijoles, YUCA Frites, MOLE DE LA CASA, QUESA BIRRIA TACOS, and MSG. Order a second of the BIRRIA to take home. Waiter was awesome, but food was constantly rushed out even though we asked for slow roll. The atmosphere was great except the noise was so loud you couldn’t hear. Awesome space though and the staff are wonderful!!! Go super spicy margarita. ”
“ Very good Mexican food with a fun twist. We loved the cocktails and quesadilla appetizer. The plantains, cucumbers, and corn appetizers were very good as well. Chicken was super tender and birria was amazing. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. One thing to note, there is limited parking, unless you can find a spot on the street. ”

The crudo was a perfect start—bright, balanced, and packed with layers of flavor that made every bite interesting. The chile relleno had the ideal texture, a super light and crispy exterior that didn’t overpower the filling. The sweet potato taquitos with mole were a standout—sweet, smoky, and perfectly crispy with that deep, rich mole tying it all together. And the desserts—Chef LT’s pastry background really shines. The guava sesame ice cream was something I’d never had before and blew me away with how well the flavors worked together. I don’t get to Phoenix often, but I always look forward to coming back to Chilte. It’s exciting food from someone who truly understands the craft. ”
